I love messages! Even if you just want to say hi, I'd love to hear from you. If it's not apparent enough from my username that I love classical music...feel free to talk over Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, ETC, and I'll be very pleased to chat with you about it. Click here to post a new message. I'll always reply on your talk page, unless you don't have a username, so unless you want to have to keep checking back here, it would be a good idea to sign your messages using four tildes (~~~~). Please add new comments at the bottom with a relevant message heading. I archive every 30 message headings...archived talk can be found at the right. And thanks for talking to me!

Thanks to Sango for the design of the archive table, etc. and to Tito for the beautiful colors of this and my userpage. Thanks, guys!

Update: If you are waiting for a reply from me and it's been more than a month, please leave another note, because it's extremely likely that I forgot to reply. Thanks!--ViolinGirl 00:46, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Many thanks for your support on my request for adminiship, I'm sure you'll be glad to know the final result was 92/1/0. I am now an administrator and (as always) if I do anything you have issue with, please talk about it with me. (After appreciating the decor) I like what you've done to this page. --Alf melmac 10:44, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Pgk's RFA

Thanks for your support on my request for adminship.

The final outcome was (80/3/0), so I am now an administrator. I was flattered by the level of support and the comments, so I'm under real pressure not to disappoint, thus if you have any queries, suggestions or problems with any of my actions as an admin then please leave me a note --pgk(talk) 10:41, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

IRC

Sure thing. :) It looks like you'll be needing an IRC client (Internet Relay Chat). Since you use Mozilla Firefox, try installing ChatZilla. [1] Have you ever been on IRC before? Sango123 (talk) 19:29, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey how are things? Is the IRC working? If it is any consolation, until a month ago I had the same problem, until I was told to download Chatzilla. I look forward to starting the coaching! Banes 19:55, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

Let's start at this: Restart Firefox, then start it up again. Click on this link: #wikipedia-esperanza. ChatZilla should appear, and you should be prompted to enter a nickname. Type 'ViolinGirl'. This may seem confusing, but try it, and I should see you there. ;) Sango123 (talk) 20:04, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
I've been eavesdropping also, I look forward to the coaching as much as you do! You don't have to swear an oath of lifetime dedication to the 'pedia and the cabal to be an admin :), so hopefully it won't chisel away at too much of your time! School, College, Violin, (the real world) are very important and you don't want to sacrifice any of them if you can avoid it. I remember in months gone by (when I was writing my matric exams) that I was banned from the internet altogether... See you Banes 20:06, 8 January 2006 (UTC) (Editconflicted again! I am going onto the IRC now to see if you are there)
Hi, sorry for leaving so hastily (darn real life ;-). Was there an agreement over the times we would meet? Thanks! Sango123 (talk) 22:27, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

nope to both: I really think you should, personally I'm unsure how they could possibly go together considering some of the stuff preached ;) --Mistress Selina Kyle (Α⇔Ω ¦ ⇒✉) 22:41, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

My talk page

I felt like getting rid of the information. I've read it all; it's old news. I don't like keeping old stuff.

Am I not allowed to do this? -Usernamefortonyd 02:30, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

7 January 2006 - AC summary

Here's a summary of our admin coaching session on IRC today (plus a few extra things):

Needs improvement

Looks good

Regards, Sango123 (talk) 04:34, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

P.S. Was this the user page? ;)

*jaw drops halfway to the floor* Good job, coaches! And of course, good job, ViolinGirl! :DTitoxd(?!? - help us) 07:23, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

Francs2000's Bureaucratship

Thanks for your support on my request for bureaucratship.

The final outcome was (70/5/0), so I am now a bureaucrat. I seriously didn't expect so many good comments from everybody and I appreciated the constructive criticism from those that gave it. If you have any queries, suggestions or problems with any of my actions as a bureaucrat then please leave me a note. -- Francs2000 22:06, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

concerning User:192.45.72.27

hello ViolinGirl,

you helped revert a change by the user above on the article South Tyrol. the user keeps pushing his POV, the edits had to be reverted at least four times in the last 24 hours [2], which amounts in IMO to a violation of the Three-revert rule. is there any proper procedure as to what to do next, do you have any advice, ideas...? with kind regards Gryffindor 23:05, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

 • Sigh* nationalistic POV pushers are really annoying I have to say. Thanks for your message. how come you are not administrator yet?-) btw nice to meet you too, hi I'm Gryffindor :-) Gryffindor 23:34, 10 January 2006 (UTC) ps: luvely page you have :-))
 • lol* I just noticed, yeah Pkg and Pgk are different users. Hey, i didn't even know you were on Esperanza (did you vote for me?-) jk) I'm enrolling in this coaching program as well now, thanks a bunch for pointing that out ;-) Gryffindor 01:41, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

To butt in: ViolinGirl, and Gryffindor, 3RR does not apply in cases of obvious POV, or vandalism. I know because I asked that same question some time back after doing 6 reverts in 10 minutes to the same page...It really doesnt matter how many you do. I look forward to the next AC "meeting". Cheers Banes

You're welcome. Um...I dont know if we decided on Sunday. Does Sunday suit you? Whatever day suits you best is the day we'll have the meeting. Sango and I are already deciding what we'll be working on then, so, see you there! All the best Banes 15:54, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey there, saw your message here [3], I felt very touched, because I really wondered about that as well. I hope I can get a satisfactory answer so that in future I won't get sucked into such a mess again... :-/ how are you? Gryffindor 19:29, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

AC Meeting

Well yeah, since we Christians go to church on a Sunday, I would presume Sunday was what you meant. :) That is just fine (about 20:00 my time, 7 hour difference) with me. There is another alternative, I am rising early on Sunday, so if you would like (I dont know how late this is for you) we could have it at about 22:00 your time. But thats only in an emergency! So, 18:00 UTC it is then? Cheers Banes 16:47, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

P.S. Glad to see you are arranging wikipedia around RL, rather than the other way around. ;)

Yup, since Easter 1997. (You know, it DID say so on the bottom of my userpage. :)) I was glad to read that you are too, but I've learnt that I must keep that out of my editing, NPOV and all that stuff. See you Banes 17:04, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
It is partially why I am homeschooled, but not entirely. The main reason is that the education system in South Africa is sadly, going downhill. The country is improving in some areas but in others......its a loooong story. :( About IRC I dont know anything on how it works or, anything. I hope you'll be able to work something out. The times are fine, Sango is happy (I think) to have the meeting on Sunday, but I havent spoken to him about times yet. That comment of yours about editing neutral topics is spot on, I (almost) never edit a topic I feel strongly about, its the best thing you can do. (If everybody did then there'd be no edit wars!) I'll get back to you once I've spoken to Sango about finalising the time. Cheers Banes 06:34, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Gryf. 3RR reply

Replied here, to avoid fragmenting discussion across three different talk pages. Alai 19:48, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Any time VG!

It was my pleasure ;-) Here, just between the two of us - don't you feel important when someone goes through the effort of vandalizing your page? It's like you're being noticed for doing the right thing (well, unless they tell you stuff like this!). Just like Don Quixote said, "They bark at us, Sancho; this means we're riding forward". Cheers! -- Phædriel *whistle* 13:29, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

New

Hi I'm new-ish here. Could you help me get the userboxes straight on my userpage? I don't know how, or tell me where to go to find out hopw?

--ShadowPuppet 14:20, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

I just want them in a row or straight line.

Thank you for that welcome. And yes, my userboxs look nice now! Thanks to you both! --ShadowPuppet 20:16, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

Next AC meeting

Hi, ViolinGirl. To be honest, I'm not completely certain if I'll be able to make it; this Sunday is the day before my midterm exams week. (Uh-oh... ;-) What time were you thinking of meeting? If I don't show up, then I'll leave you something to work with on your talk page. Cheers, Sango123 (talk) 20:28, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

You mean RL > WL?! Now that's a concept I'm currently struggling with. ;) I'm not doing too badly in real life though. How have you been?
As for the meeting, I was planning to study during that time, but I'll see what I can do. I was thinking of creating a page like User:ViolinGirl/AdminCoaching for interaction outside of IRC. Please let me know what you think. Cheers, Sango123 (talk) 04:10, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Banes, in his sneaky eavesdropping nature, says that 13:00 EST is fine with him. However, if Sango cannot make it then maybe we should think about changing it? I've been neglecting my WL these past days because I surpassed 1000 article (and 2500 overall) edits on Wednesday and am busy resting on my laurels... :) Cheers Banes 08:00, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Actually, if it is at all possible, 35 minutes later (at 13:35) would be better. If that is not good, then never mind, but there is the slimmest of chances I wont be able to make it then.. Thanks for the laurels! Banes 13:24, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Great, see you sometime then. Banes 07:21, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Hey, have you got the IRC stuff sorted? Is it just the Esperanza channel that is a problem or is it the whole deal? Anyway, I'll be around here at 20:00 my time and onwards...Cheers Banes 16:59, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Music

Hi ViolinGirl, If you’d like to discuss music, I’d be happy too. As you might have guessed, I’m an avid musician; I play both violin and piano (and love both). -EKN

Violin tailpiece

Hope you're not bummed that I changed the picture-- I wanted something longer and narrower, so the thumbnail would have an easier time competing for attention with the mandolin tailpiece pic. I also wanted a pic without the chinrest in the way... all the best, Just plain Bill 22:21, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

IRC

Hmmm... it may be one of a few reasons why you can't stay connected. A good way to tell is to ask someone else to see what message is given when you leave the channel, for example "no route to host". The main reasons I can think of are that you may be getting excess flood, or your internet connection may keep constantly cutting out for a minimal amount of time, for example less than half a second. That could affect it. You might be able to fix the problem by changing IRC client - I would suggest changing to Chatzilla if you don't already use it. If you do use Chatzilla, then changing client isn't likely to fix the problem. As for your nick, there isn't any reason I can see why it would affect your connection. Unless someone knows your password, then nobody can kill you off as a ghost. Make sure that your nickname is registered to freenode - I don't see why that would affect it either, but registering your nickname and then identifying on entry to freenode may make connections more secure. You might want to try talking to a technician on freenode if you ever get onto IRC for long enough. A good person to talk to would be "lilo". I hope I've been of some help if not a lot, and I hope to see you back on IRC soon! FireFox 12:02, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Excess flood is where too much data shoves a user out of a channel, or that is how I understand it as. As for my talk page archiving, stuff that! Anyway, good luck with getting IRC to work :) FireFox 16:03, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
I'm pefectly happy for you to go ahead and archive it if you want :P FireFox 16:10, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
lol. But do we want to be nice to eavesdroppers? FireFox 16:21, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for supporting me in my RFA. --TimPope 13:52, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

New Headers are a Good Idea

Well, yes, I am on...so to speak. Banes 17:10, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

To be honest, I'm having trouble getting on right now...See you after supper. Banes 17:13, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Well, I wouldnt be having trouble on wikipedia. :) No, I am having issues with IRC, hopefully you'll see me there later on. Cheers Banes 17:19, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
Nothing happend when you were reset, I'm afraid. Banes 18:00, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

Papercut

I'm glad you enjoyed the admin coaching session! :) And as for the papercut: That's what happens when you attempt to study and type simultaneously. :O Take care, Sango123 (talk) 02:00, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

Me too, it was a lot of fun (and productive too)! You're welcome, I look forwards to the next one! Guess what? I was up until 0:00 my time last night on Celestianpower's Esperanza shindig! It was great fun, we were playing "20 Questions" and bickering over what music to play on the stereo :)

All the best Banes 06:29, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

Sounds pretty busy at your end. No, Monday has been rather exhausting, spent the day hiking, swimming, and playing "blind man's bluff" (I know, little kid's game). Now its looking like the third after 0:00 for me in a row :). About the next AC meeting, this coming weekend is totally out for me, as I'll be away in Johannesburg and without internet. Is Thursday a possibility? Or perhaps just you and Sango can meet? Cheers Banes 21:37, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
Ok, we'll have to see about the next meeting. I'm pretty flexible, but 03:00 is a little early for me :) . Banes 06:15, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

Admin Coaching..."The Next Meeting"

Hi there ViolinGirl! In RL, things have been great, I spent most of today at a film shoot, and have not really been able to do much wikipedia lately either...trying to see as much of my friends as possible before I start Varsity (next week). No, I'm not going to vandalize your userpage for not editing much, it would be too hypocritical! I'll send a sockpuppet I created in October to do it. :) I've just realized I've been a twit regarding Sunday, as my flight lands at 13:30 your time, and I'd be happy to have the meeting at about 15:30 EST. Does that work for you? If not, then Monday? Otherwise you might as well have the meeting without me.... Banes 16:31, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi, ViolinGirl! Sunday afternoon sounds okay, but I don't know if that's definite. I actually have midterm exams all week, so that's four down, two more to go. ;) Cheers, Sango123 (talk) 20:07, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Okay, sounds good! <tt> and </tt> are the opening and closing tags for typewriter text. I like to use them for smilies because :) looks better than :) and I oppose usage of the nose dash :-) except when I'm using it as part of a closing parenthesis smilie (text :-) because (text :) and (text :)) don't look quite right.
Sorry you had to sit through that... Sango123 (talk) 23:38, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
They look better with equals signs: ;=) Sam Korn 23:42, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Don't forget the round noses. :o) Sango123 (talk) 23:47, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
*wrath* Have you signed up for an Active Wiki Fixup Project yet? :D Sango123 (talk) 00:06, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

Yes, things are rather nice at the moment. You wont believe this, but in Cape Town (at this time of year), my home, there are an average of 70 to 80 advert/film shoots taking place here every week! So, it is quite a big business... :) For the most part its just extras stuff, but I have managed to get a proper role once or twice. I also (not very often) do some modelling... As it happens, I never got around to eavesdropping on your and Sango's conversation (doing so now :)). Those arrangements are just fine with me, bearing in mind I will not be on before 22:30 my time. I also wont know of any changes made after 11:00 UTC tomorrow, as that is when I depart. So hopefully I'll be seeing you and Sango then... False humility, I'm very good at it! I write about myself in third person sometimes because I think it looks better. If you look at my contribs these past days, you'll see they consist almost solely of your talkpage, so I cannot reprimand you, ask Sango. In conclusion: Okay, Sunday afternoon (night) is good for me. Bye Banes 07:24, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

A thanks and a hello

Hey ViolinGirl, thanks for the welcome ^^. And of course, your welcome message would have been nice, too, haha. I never thought I'd pull up the ol' Wikipedia to find that I had "messages," of all things; like I mentioned at Sango's, it looks like I won't be able to just lurk around as a member of the Undercover Typo Police anymore (for which I am grateful, as I'll eventually realize).

At any rate, here's a pledge to start working on my user page soon. I've also got my eye on an article that hasn't been started yet (it has to do with Solresol), but we'll have to see about that. Until that happens... thanks again, and God bless!

CVU

By the way, we made a little change to CVU policy, since there were some reports of abuse coming from it. In order to access the channel, you have to identify yourself to Nickserv, and then follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Counter Vandalism Unit/IRC Channel Verifications. Hope to see you there sometime soon! Titoxd(?!? - help us) 00:35, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

No, not THAT kind of abuse. That's nothing. More like this kind of abuse, that got Cool Cat blocked when he wasn't doing anything wrong. You're perfectly fine, you haven't done anything wrong that I know of. Titoxd(?!? - help us) 00:50, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
Argh, that darn Chatzilla. Yes, #wikipedia-esperanza should work. Titoxd(?!? - help us) 01:07, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

Wiki screenshot tag

Hi there. The tag for displaying a Wikipedia screenshot is wikipedia-screenshot, as long as you are satisfied that the text in the tag matched your intentions. -Splashtalk 01:38, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

You leaving

Hi! I'm really sad that you're leaving us (well, leaving to all intents and purposes) but please could you elaborate on why reverting vandalism is anti-Christian. I see it like picking up litter. People drop llitter, it's the job of everyone else to pick it up. That's the Admins job here: picking up the litter that thoughtless, misguided or malicious people drop in the form of vandalism. Please explain.

I can however empathise with your second reason, that of spending all of your aking hours here. I do the same and wish I could stop! Anyway, all the best, sayonara and good luck! --Celestianpower háblame 14:05, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Hmmm, I'm still not sure I understand fully. Note: I'm not in any way trying to attack Christianity (or your personal beliefs or faith (heck, I'm a Christian myself!). You come into contact with evil every day, on-wiki or not. Plus, surely the evil in vandalism is pretty low on the scale of sins, no? Somebody has to revert it, why not you? As to flirting, I'm sure he/she didn't mean to offend you - a lot of people flirt naturally (whether on-wiki or off). I personally have never got that and have made some really good friends here. Well, anyway, I certainly wish you well fot the future, whatever path you may take. --Celestianpower háblame 14:25, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
I'm coming accross as attacking you aren't I? If so, sorry - that really isn't my intention. As to paperclips, would you not rather somebody stole a paperclip from you than killed your family? I know this is extreme but I'm actuially very curious about these sorts of things. Anyway, I can see that you have very strong opinions on this and (even though I disagree with them), I respect them and can understand how these may inhibit your Wikipedia activity. --Celestianpower háblame 14:37, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
Ah - I see where your coming from now ;). One last question: Do you not see/hear profanity, swearing, sexually implicit material, sexual inuendo and other such things each day at school or on TV or in books? I'm just curious as to why Wikipedia is any different. --Celestianpower háblame 14:44, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
But how do your parents manage to "protect" you from this material at school. One obvious example (but certainly not the only one) is Sex Education. That's compulsory is it not? --Celestianpower háblame 15:00, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
LOL! I should have guessed. I only ask because I'm a bit worried about what's going to happen when you have to go out and get a job. When you find a boy/girlfriend and get married and leave home if you haven't had any mild experience of profanity ...etc beforehand. Not everyone (in fact most people) do not hold the same vigours as your parents. I know it sounds a bit forward as I don't actually know you but that's just what I'm like ;) --Celestianpower háblame 15:10, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
No, you misunderstand me. About boyfirends, I wasn't talking about that aspect, I was talkiing about after he's got your fathers blessing, you will more than likely want to leave home and live with him. There, there aren't the same restrictions or protection that you would experience at home. My concern is that when you do come in contact with such thigs, you aren't going to be able to cope or know what to do. Perhaps I'm being paranoid or over-protective myself.
By the way, I have commented on your blog, just so you know ;). seriously, all the best in the long life you have ahead of you! --Celestianpower háblame 15:39, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi ViolinGirl. Thanks for pointing me to that. Please know that you have all my sympathies and prayers, and that I fully support you. Personally, I find a wonderful, almost Benedictine, quality in Wikipedia, in that I can take as much pleasure doing menial work (reverting vandalism) and I can doing more spectacular work (writing articles). I believe that my faith is strengthened through knowledge, and it is for that reason - to help expand my knowledge and that of others - that I contribute to Wikipedia. Love and peace be with you, Sam Korn 14:20, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Re:

I'm sorry to say, I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. I have two doctorates in theology, I'm an Elder in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and I've been a Christian for all my life, and I can't for the life of me see how reverting vandalism on Wikipedia has anything to do with Christianity at all. For once, I'm completely stumped. Essjay TalkContact 21:30, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Essjay, I think (maybe wrong on this one, though) that reverting a significant amount of vandalism is like... well, for example, perhaps even very quickly scanning through the "Accounts and aliases" section of the Willy on wheels page could give one an idea of the general ickiness that comes rather naturally with vandalism? *shivers* Then again, I've never reverted vandalism before, so I'm guessing here... Weien 22:09, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

I see, the problem is that the content of the vandalism is likely to lead one into a life of sin; I suppose that didn't occur to me because at my age, I've seen it all before. Best of luck VG, hope to see you around. Essjay TalkContact 23:00, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

All hail (our typo queen)! ^^

Since "ViolinGirl/Statement" glows a brighter shade of urgency at the moment, a reply about poetic things will have to come later ^_^. (By the way--if this comment belongs or would look nicer in the discussion of the Statement page, I'll kindly move it).

"No Compromises" Whenever I think about the topic of distancing oneself from things of detriment (or even from those of seeming neutrality), a bad but amusingly picturesque example comes to mind. Not sure if you're familiar with Middle Earth's Saruman, but here we have a fictional character whose initial goal was to defeat evil, but ended up swayed (to evil) by it, and very much because of his extensive study of it (See the third-to-last paragraph of Saruman's Characteristics 4). Of course, that's an extreme of what "could happen," but sometimes an extreme is just what we need to understand the gravity of things like, well, compromise. Everything does matter, especially if it has to do with the conscience. With that in mind, and considering that even the smallest fraction of a degree of deviation from what we believe can eventually lead to (as you mentioned) eternal detriment, it is especially important to think about (and if possible only about) "whatever is true... noble... right... pure... lovely... admirable" (Phil. 4:8). Quoting my parents there ^_^. Wish I had more to say about this, but not having ventured very far into the battlefield of vandalism, I think I lack the wisdom to say too much else (though perhaps I can sympathize in my few "ACK!! ALT-F4!!!" Wiki-experiences :\).

"Solo violinist in Italy" I do feel your pain in this area, though ^^ (and very much so). What can I say? Wikipedia is addictive! And devoting even a small part of the self to the inner workings (leadership, community, business, etc) of it seems to multiply its, um, allure (from what I'm starting to see, at least); I mean, with a living wage and a spill-proof keyboard one could live their entire eat-drink-sleep lives at the desk of The Wiki. That, unfortunately, precludes said individual from significant success as a solo violinist in Italy.

Since convincing doesn't seem to be what you're looking for, I'll just try to keep this short (haha). Honestly, I am a self-professed Excessivist Literalist Fatalist (i.e. someone literally who tends to do things in extreme excess, often to fatal results XD), and I have a dreadful history of obsessions and icky withdrawals to show for it. With most of those "addictions" interactive and online activities (with things like Utopia, Gunbound, Imperian, and Risk Your Life--wait a minute, those are all computer games! Ugh...), I can see how Wikipedia could be a similar threat. Indeed, I'm already getting sucked in XD. But my best advice is to be wary of anything that 1) potentially can take a lot of time and 2) would be something that'd be very hard to stop doing. Maybe your parents have asked about your time spent on Wikipedia, which is generally a good sign that you're spending more time than is healthy on one thing; their opinions are definitely valuable, since our minds tend to cloud when we're holding onto the last vestiges of something we value.

However (and finally), remember that you don't necessarily have to force yourself into the realm of typos and minor edits--after all, you've already got the hang of all the markup, conventions, and style of Wikipedia. That's valuable (and I wouldn't be surprised if you've also started getting the hang of IRC commands as well, also a powerful tool)! Perhaps declining the idea of future adminship and a gazillion edits under your name might be the step needed to re-prioritize your life. Of course, that's up to your discernment.

Looks at comment length, groans. Oog, sorry about this ><. Anyway, I hope this arrives as a bit of support, and not as offensive (or simply fluffiness). As always and truly, God bless. Weien 21:51, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Re: I knew I had forgotten someone

Heh, no worries. I hope to still see you around, but I would still like to know why you're as you are. What happened in IRC? Send me an email or MSN or something, I'm always here for a chat, please? Take care, FireFox T • 21:57, 21 January 2006

You're leaving?

ViolinGirl, I can't say that I won't be disappointed by seeing another appreciated Wikipedian like you leave. However, even though I disagree with some of your views, I respect your decision, as well as your goal of becoming a solo violinist in Italy. Take care, good luck, and do keep in touch. :) Sango123 (talk) 22:47, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Aw, of course... ;) Have fun with those typos! See you around, Sango123 (talk) 22:56, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

I confess, it's me. But who are you? (any hint will do)

I think I know what you're talking about, and if so, yup, that's where you've seen me. WIll I recognize you, or are you mostly a lurker?

Oh, dear, no need to perish... I hang out as Beeswing (hence the honey) on http://www.fiddleforum.com/ quite a lot. I'm actually at work now, so I'll have to check out the other site later. Be well, my friend :-D Just plain Bill 00:11, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

Your message

hi ViolinGirl, how are you? err, what exactly did you want to point out to me, your link leads to nowhere...? Gryffindor 16:11, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

Well it's very unfortunate I think, because I think from what I have seen so far you would be quite a good administrator, but I can understand your frustration totally (had some run-ins with that as well as you probably know *ahem*) But stay, your input is as usual always appreciated. If I should ever become administrator, and if you ever require assistance, let me know and I will see if I can do anything for you. with kind regards Gryffindor 16:17, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
No, I know you're not leaving yet, but I can understand that it can get quite frustrating at times. Thanks for your support, I'm still waiting for the coaching from Esperanza, see what they have to say. good luck to you! Gryffindor 16:24, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
Aw, thanks that's so sweet. you too... Gryffindor 16:40, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
