Vinit Singh

Vineet Singh (or Vinit Singh) born 15 January 1989, Lucknow, India is a new Bollywood singer. He began learning music at the age of 5. He competed in the well-known show in India called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 and he managed to obtain 2nd place.

[edit] Vinit in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa
Vinit was a popular contestant in the show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. Although he had received marks that are not satisfying from the "Mento Meter" or he had been in the bottom, he still manages to maintain his popularity. He was a favourite to win by the fellow guest judges, mentors and the public. Unfortunately, during the final rounds, he lost in the competition to Debojit Saha, after a tough challenge.
He was not selected to be a participant earlier on as he was under-aged, but was accepted later as a wild card entry from Fame 2005. From there he rose to be the sole representative of the Rock Gharana and quickly became Himesh Reshammiya's favourite, sparking the stories of the famous hat. Vinit has since retired the hat, but his rumoured "romance" has grown into a strong friendship between himself and Himani Kapoor, another contestant on this show.
Vinit's first song in the Bollywood industry was in the film Rocky The Rebel....Dil Rang le... With him in the song is Sunidhi Chauhan. Vineet will be performing in Himesh Reshammiya's concert, "Aap Ka Surror" Fall of 2006 with Himani Kapoor, Abhijeet Sawant, Alisha Chennai, and of course, Himesh Reshammiya himself. This concert is taking place in the United States.
