Vindeln Municipality is a Swedish municipality where Vindeln is seat with a population of approximately 2,500 inhabitants. It is situated in the Västerbotten County, in northern Sweden.
Other towns include Hällnäs, Tvärålund, Åmsele and Granö.
Geographically it is situated by the Vindel River, which is the main tributary of the Ume River. Its coat of arms depicts a salmon, of which there is plenty in the river.
For communications, the main line railway Norra Stambanan passes through the town.
