Vincent "Vince" Chase is a fictional character on the dramedy television series Entourage. He is played by Adrian Grenier.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Vincent "Vince" Chase is a young Hollywood movie star described as potentially the best young actor of his generation. His breakout role was as the lead in the film Head On, co-starring Jessica Alba. In season one, he turns down a big budget studio film, Matterhorn, for which a mediocre studio would have paid him four million dollars. Instead he chooses to star in the independent film, Queens Boulevard. The decision, based on the advice of his manager and best friend "E", is followed up with chartering a $30,000 plane to Queens even though the movie only offers a $60,000 payday.

In season two, filming for Queens Boulevard is complete, and the film is well received, even getting into the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. Building on his career momentum and the quality of this film, he is offered the lead in a potential blockbuster franchise, Aquaman, which is to be directed by the master of big budget films, James Cameron. The movie becomes a massive success with $116 million in ticket sales on its opening weekend, breaking the opening weekend box office record set by Spider-Man.

Riding this wave of success, Vince is offered his dream movie: Medellín, the story of the rise and fall of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. Vince fights hard for the role, winning the blessing of director Paul Haggis. Warner Brothers, which produced Aquaman, threatens to sue if Vince does this film because it will hurt his image as a hero in a potential Aquaman sequel, lessening future profits.

Vince holds to his principles, and is subsequently replaced by Jake Gyllenhaal for the Aquaman sequel. During his trouble getting out of his Aquaman contract, Vince finds that he has already lost his role in Medellín to Benicio del Toro. Vince soon finds his next movie: I Wanna Be Sedated, a biopic about punk-rocker Joey Ramone and his band The Ramones. Vince loses this role when Eric Murphy and Ari Gold anger the film's producer, Bob Ryan, by ditching him at Disney Studios. Due to Ari's actions, Vince and Eric decide to fire him and seek new representation.

Vince grew up in Queens, New York, one of six children in the Chase family. Vince's father was an alcoholic, and his absence in the episode "Aquamom" suggests that he is dead or estranged from the family. Vince's older brother, Johnny "Drama" Chase, is also an actor and has been living in Hollywood for at least twelve years, but with considerably less success. Johnny and Vince live together in California, with the former financially dependent on the latter. Vince got his start in show business in an appearance in a Vicks commercial and was later discoverd by Ari Gold during a Mentos TV advertisment. In one episode, Vince stated that his grandfather is Japanese.

Vince often shows disdain for the money that rules Hollywood and shows a general appreciation for the art of cinema. Throughout the series, Vince talks about how he and his entourage are "living the life" after growing up with little money. He is eager to share the financial and social spoils of his current stardom with them, who he thinks of as his family. While at first glance it seems that his friends are just leeches, they prove to be the ones he can depend on through thick and thin.

  • Character named after famed Hollywood acting coach Vincent Chase who worked with Mark Wahlberg on (and appears in) the Bill Paxton feature "Traveller."
