Vincent Bladen

Vincent Wheeler Bladen, O.C. (14 August 19006 November 1981) was a Canadian economist and academic.

A Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Toronto, in 1960, he was appointed Chairman of the Royal Commission on the Automotive Industry which helped to created the Canadian-American Automotive Agreement.

In 1974, his book From Adam Smith to Maynard Keynes : the heritage of political economy was published.

In 1976, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada, Canada's highest civilian honor. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws from Carleton University in 1966 and York University in 1975.

The Vincent W. Bladen Library at the University of Toronto is named in his honour.
