Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (Vinare), established in 1995, is Vietnam's key reinsurance company.

In 2006, Vinare became the first publicly quoted financial firm in the country. It was the 10th firm to trade on the Hanoi Securities Trading Center.

The Viet Nam National Re-insurance Corporation (Vinare) has recorded an annual average growth rate of 32.7 per cent in premiums during its first ten years of operation.

Due to its success, Vinare, the country’s only re-insurance company, received the Labour Order 2nd class. The Labour Order is a distinction granted by the government to individuals and organisations for good performance and contributions in their field.

In ten years (1995-2005), the company has reached an accumulated premium of VND3.19 trillion (US$202 million), and intends to obtain VND712 million more this year and VND1.5 trillion more by 2010, said CEO Trinh Quang Tuyen.
