Vina was a character who appeared in the Star Trek: The Original Series pilot episode "The Cage". Vina was the only surviving crew member of the S.S. Columbia, an Earth starship which crashed on the planet Talos IV in 2254 during a scientific expedition. She was saved by the Talosians, but because they were completely oblivious as to human anatomy, Vina remained severely disfigured for the rest of her life.
