Villarrica, Paraguay

Villarrica is a city in the center of southern Paraguay. It is the capital of the department of Guairá. Originally founded on the banks of the Paraná River in 1576, under the name Villa Rica del Espíritu Santo, the city was moved to its present site in 1682.
