Villamor Air Base is home of the Philippine Air Force. It is from this air base that the foreign heads of state and government are received. It is also this military base that the Philippine president uses when departing for foreign or domestic trips abroad. The air base is named in honor of a Filipino pilot, Jesus Villamor, who fought during World War II.
Originally called Nichols Field during the time of American occupation, the complex also hosts the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
In 2007, there will be a Skyway exit to the air base.
