Villa di Tirano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sondrio in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 110 km northeast of Milan and about 20 km east of Sondrio, on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,997 and an area of 24.6 km2.[1]
The municipality of Villa di Tirano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Motta and Stazzona.
