Villa Opicina (slovenian Opčine) is a small village in north-eastern Italy just miles from the Slovenian border. It is located in the hills 3 miles north of Trieste, a seaport on the Adriatic Sea. Buses run from the train station and the center of town in Villa Opicina to Trieste and back, making for easy travel to the coast. The rail station in Villa Opicina serves trains entering Italy from Slovenia.
