Villa Hayes

Villa Hayes is a town in Paraguay, located in the Presidente Hayes Department. It is named after US President Rutherford Hayes who, in 1878 when asked to arbritrate by the Argentines after the War of the Triple Alliance, ruled in Paraguay's favour over the question of ownership of the Chaco.
