Vila Propício is a small town and municipality in central Goiás state, Brazil. It is a large producer of sugarcane.

Vila Propício is located in the Entorno de Brasília microregion and has boundaries with the following municipalities:
- north: Barro Alto
- south: Pirenópolis and Cocalzinho de Goiás
- west: Goianésia and Barro Alto
- east: Mimoso de Goiás and Padre Bernardo
Highway connections are made from Cocalzinho de Goiás and from Goianésia, which is 28 kilometers to the west. It is 195 kilometers to Brasília and 215 kilometers to Goiânia.
From Goiânia take GO-080, passing through Nerópolis and São Francisco de Goiás; then BR-153 to Jaraguá; then GO-080 to Goianésia; then BR-251 / GO-230. For all distances see Seplan

In January 2005 the Mayor was Teodoro de Araújo Aragão Filho. There were 9 members on the city council and the number of eligible voters was 4,570.

In 2005 the population density was 2.26 inhab/km². In 2003 there were 1,230 inhabitants in the urban area and 3,474 inhabitants in the rural area. The population has increased by about 500 inhabitants since the first census in 2000.

The economy is based on agriculture, cattle raising, small commercial establishments, and public administration. In 2005 there were 4 industrial units and 20 commercial units in the town. In 2004 there were 79 automobiles.
In 2004 there were 84,000 head of cattle, 26.200 head of poultry, and 3,560 head of swine. The main agricultural products were cotton, rice, rubber, sugarcane (4,500 hectares), corn (3,600 hectares), and soybeans (12,500 hectares).

In 2003 there were no hospitals and 2 ambulatory health clinics. There was only 1 doctor, no nurses, and no dentists working in the town in 2002. In 2000 the infant mortality rate was 21,46, well below the national average of 33.0.
In 2005 the school system had 9 schools, 37 classrooms, 55 teachers, and 1,325 students. There was no middle school. In 2000 the adult literacy rate was 75.2%, well below the national average of 86.4%, and one of the lowest in the state.
