Vikrant Bhargava

Vikrant Bhargava (विक्रान्त भार्गव) is a billionaire of Indian origin, the second richest man in Gibraltar and the Group Marketing Director of online casino operator PartyGaming. Bhargava's experience prior to joining the group included positions as a credit officer at the Bank of America, where he was responsible for managing credit exposure and revenue for a portfolio of corporate clients, and a business analyst in the business development division of British Gas. Bhargava has a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institutes of Management, Calcutta. He also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Technology in electrical engineering from IIT_Delhi, where he was a batchmate of Anurag Dikshit.
Bhargava joined PartyGaming (formerly iGlobalMedia) as the CEO in early 2000. In July 2001, he managed the launch of PartyPoker as the CEO of PartyPoker. He remained so until Richard Segal was hired to steer the company to an IPO. Vikrant headed the marketing efforts for PartyGaming from its inception.
In May 2006, Bhargava announced he would be leaving the company's board of directors at the end of 2006. [1] He will continue as an advisor and shareholder of the company. According to a report in eGaming Review, John Shepherd, director of PartyGaming corporate communications, said: "Vikrant's marketing expertise has taken this to a multi-billion pound company." Sue Schneider, President of the River City Group, one of the organizers of the World Poker Congress. says "Vikrant Bhargava is a major reason behind the success of PartyGaming. The company's flagship, PartyPoker.com, introduced many of today's online and live players to the enjoyment of Internet poker. Vikrant's innovative marketing campaigns and customer service initiatives have become an industry standard." [2] Vikrant was a keynote speaker at the World Poker Congress, held in June 27 & 28, 2006 in Stockholm.
Bhargava has decided to take the plunge in financial markets with his new fund, Sirius, a Gibraltar-based investment vehicle. Bhargava's new fund of funds will be aimed at investors with an appetite for higher risk and volatility.[3]
