This play by Kalidasa is about the love story between Pururava( is called by the name Vikrama in the play) and Urvashi.

The story centers on Urvashi's abduction by demons and Pururava rescue efforts. Subsequently Urvashi falls in love with him. But Pururuva is already married. The play revolves around the dilemma that Pururuva faces due to his love for Urvashi and love and commitment to his wife.
