Viking XPRS

Viking XPRS the project name of a fast ropax ferry currently under construction at Aker Finnyards, Finland for the finnish ferry company Viking Line. She is planned to enter service on Viking Line's Helsinki - Tallinn service in January 2008.
Viking XPRS is Viking Line's first new building for the Tallinn-Helsinki route, their first newbuilding in 15 years and their first fast ropax ferry. Viking Line expects the XPRS to make the crossing between the two capitals in about two and a half hours, with two daily departures from each port. The ship will have separate cardecks for freight and for passengers cars. She is projected to have a very small passenger cabin capacity as she's mainly planned for daytime crossings.
