Official portrait of someone prominent in international news? I think that could fall under Wikipedia:Fair use. I've removed the copyright violation notice and put in fairuse tag, but left the unverified tag. -- Infrogmation 19:51, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)

initial uploaded uplaoded it and then tagged it as fair use in a seperate eidt a couple of minuites later

solitude removed the fair use tag and re-tagged as unverified saying "Fair Use does not exist in the Ukraine"

Ed g2s changed it back to fair use giving no reasoning

solitude changed it back and at the same time marked the image as a copyvio and put it on wikipedia:Copyright problems however there was no disscussion there. An image of his opponent placed there at the same time seems to have been deleted even though there was no discussion there.

Infrogmation removed it from wikipedia:Copyright problems removed the copyright violation tag put on the fair use tag. but left the unverified tag in place.

There are a few points that need to be made here

Firstly i don't see any attempt at communication or cooperation from any of you (none of your user talk pages had any mention of this)

Secondly wikipedia is based in the US and bases thier policies on US copyright law.

Thirdly there is no evidence of any attempt to contact the source and get permission. Plugwash 03:53, 27 Dec 2004 (UTC)
