Since you've included the main island of Åland in the map, maybe it better is coloured green. _For this time (i.e. late 1st millenium), I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't agree that Åland was culturally close to the Scandinavians, or incorporated in a Viking culture.
Similarly, green dots for Saxland, Vendland, (at the southern shore of the Baltic), Estland, and Ingria might be expected, although I believe many would argue that there is a difference between "colonies abroad" and "domestic lands", Åland belonging to the latter.
