Vihorlat Mountains (Slovak: Vihorlatské vrchy; colloquially Vihorlat) or Vyhorliat (in Ukrainian) is a volcanic mountain range in eastern Slovakia and western Ukraine.

[edit] Slovak part

The Slovak part is 55 km long, up to 11 km broad and from 400 to 1076 m high mountain range. It is the only mountain range in Slovakia that belongs to the Inner Eastern Carpathians. It is bordered by the Eastern Slovak Lowland in the south and the west, and by the Bukovec Mountains, Laborec Highlands and Beskidian Piedmont in the north. The highest peak is the Vihorlat (1076 m). The largest lake in the mountain range is Morské oko (also called Veľké Vihorlatské jazero - Great Vihorlat Lake).
