Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra

The Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra (German: Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien) is the only radio orchestra in Austria. Founded in 1969, it was known as the ORF Symphony Orchestra (German: ORF-Symphonieorchester) until 1996. Unlike most other Austrian orchestras, it has a substantial focus on contemporary classical music.
