The 6th arrondissement (VIe arrondissement), located on the Left Bank, is one of the central arrondissements of Paris, France. It is well known for the district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés which is dominated by its Abbey founded as early as the 6th century.

The 6th arrondissement is also home to the French Senate which is located in the Luxembourg Gardens.

The land area of this arrondissement is 2.154 km² (0.832 sq. miles, or 532 acres).

The peak of population of the arrondissement occurred in 1911 when the population density nearly reached 50,000 inhabitants per km². In 1999, the population was 44,919 inhabitants while the arrondissement also hosted 43,691 jobs.
