Hi Viewdrix, I've noticed that you've been putting in a lot of edits towards the Red vs Blue page. As you may have noticed, I did change some of those edits and even reversed some based on more accurate we have, and also decisions that were made earlier with other wiki members. If you have the time, I'd suggest reading up on the talk page and see what else you can add that we do need. Besides that, keep on working, but please make sure your info is as accurate as possible. Thank you. --LifeStar 21:46, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] "Removing episode 73 spoilers for non-sponsors"

Isn't that what the {{spoiler}} warning is for? -- TKD 13:09, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

I was under the belief that there was a difference between spoiling it for those who havn't seen the episodes because they havn't seen the series before, and spoiling it for the general public who do not have the choice to see the episodes yet without paying $10. Sponsors spoiling the episode for non-sponsors is frowned upon at the Rooster Teeth forums, and I thought that it would carry out here. Also, the lack of additions to the season four plot before an episode goes public in the past seemed to encourage my theory that we usually wait for public release. A few episodes ago, actually, someone using the same name as on Rooster Teeth added plot developments before public release, and when I asked if taht was an OK thing to do, he said he had forgot the episode wasn't public yet.
Perhaps we need to vote on it on the Talk page. Or just clarify. -- Viewdrix 9 February 2006

[edit] Egm NGR AfD

Hi, rather than clutter up the Article for Deletion discussion page even further, I thought I'd put my comment here. Hope this is OK. It seems like you're reading more into the process than is there. Its not like someone has gone through every article in Wikipedia and said "aha, I'm going to single out Egm NGR, even though I know that there are even worse articles that should be deleted first". Its much more likely that the original nominator (who I don't know from Adam, BTW) stumbled across it one day and thought that it didn't meet Wikipedia's standards for notability. If they had happened upon, say, the Hip Forums article first, that would be up for debate and someone would be shocked that Egm NGR wasn't being deleted as well. With over a million articles, the process of which ones get AfD'ed at any particular moment is essentially random.

Not sure if this helps you much. The only point to my comment was that rather than spending time finding articles that are even more deserving of deletion, you'll help your cause much more if you carefully read Wikipedia's WP:Notability guidelines then go out and provide notable, verifiable third-party sources. Editors do change their AfD votes if you make a persuasive argument in favor of your article. I am personally in favor of improving articles rather than deleting them, if they can be salvaged. So go out and convince me that Egm NGR is notable and I'll champion your cause myself. Good luck, Gwernol 00:49, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Machinima

Hi, Viewdrix. Sorry for the spam, but, since you were involved in bringing the Red vs Blue article up to featured status and in maintaining the related articles, I was wondering whether you'd be interested in the idea of a WikiProject Machinima to coordinate the improvement and maintenance of machinima-related articles on Wikipedia. See Talk:Machinima for more information. Thanks! — TKD::Talk 01:37, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Feck, from List of fictional expletives

Hi, I removed your addition to the list because 'feck' is not a fictional expletive. It's a well-known expletive used primarily in Ireland. If you check the talk page of the article you'll see the extensive discussion of the word, concluding with a consensus to keep it off. Further, you'll note that right above your entry there is a hidden text request not to add the word. Happy editing!--Anchoress 02:10, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Simpsons

Aren't there a lot more cable channels etc then there were in 1990 thus causing audience fragmentation? PMA 18:33, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

The statement says that the show has lost popularity as shown in the ratings. The simple fact is, if the show had been able to keep its popularity and fans, they wouldn't have been swayed away by cable channels, it doesn't matter if there's more competition, the viewers have gone somewhere else, and they lost popularity and ratings. It doesn't matter exactly where the audience is going, the statement is that they've left. In additon, you said more "networks", which as well as incorrect, would be the only channels likely to take away millions of viewers from a show, not cable. As well as this poor choice of wording, you used "their" instead of "there". The statement as it was was NPOV and based solely on sited information. Your addition was a POV attempt to justify a negative statement, and based on uncited information, nearly completely unrelated in how it explains a ratings fall, as well as poorly written. For all these reasons, I removed it. -- Viewdrix 18:44, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry - i was going on a poor understanding of the effects of the explosion of cable channels and other media in the USA in recent years - i shouldn't have used the word "networks" and my using "their" instead of "there" can be explained by the fact it's early morning here - i've been on Wiki almost six years so can you try not to treat me like a POV newbie please. [edit] Red vs. Blue

Thanks. I realized after I went to work that somehow my AWB list skipped a bunch of page. — TKD::Talk 00:36, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:Garden State (film)

Please do not use the film article's talk page for general discussion about the film. While you did comment appropriately on RaptorRobot's question about Rick Moody, please do not continue the discussion about drugs as a theme in the movie, as you and the anonymous editor are both arguing your own interpretations, which is original research and not contributive to the article. Also, please do not edit another editor's profane comment; Wikipedia is not censored. --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 15:19, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

This edit where you changed "fucked" in Dwinetsk's comment to "------". --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 15:52, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
Wow, that's interesting. I didn't know that a security measure could do that. Thanks for explaining it to me; that was quite unusual. --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 20:47, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: List of The Office (US) episodes

NBC updated the press release yesterday, as I noted in my edit summary, and the episode is now titled "The Return". Please see this link. —bbatsell ¿? 22:11, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Whoops, hadn't even seen that. Thanks for taking care of it. —bbatsell ¿? 23:57, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your vandalism to Soft commodity

Ok, you may well hate me now, after my last posting on the Colbert Day talk page, but I think it was rather hypocritical of you to suggest I was biased against the article, in part, because of my rv's to vandalism ... but you were not... while concealing the fact that you had in fact vandalised Wikipedia with Colbert nonsense. You seem to be an experienced editor and level headed person and you should have known better. Shawn in Montreal 05:18, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of Scrubs episodes

Hi. I've reverted your revert. The point is not whether the summaries should be there or not, the issue is it is copyrighted material. If you want to add the summaries again, do it in your own words (i.e. paraphrase). Thanks --Mark83 15:02, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, the anon. editor is making a strange point but please read the one above it. That explains where they came from. Regards -- Mark83 17:27, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Beach Day

Right now, I removed the tag. Generally, TV episode articles are generally created when the episode is released and the plot summary is very detailed. But since you've made a good point, I've removed the tag, as long as the plot summary is made longer when the episode is released. Sorry about the inconvenience, and happy editing!
