Template talk:VietnamCorr

I'm not sure about this template; there were thousands of journalists who covered the vietnam war; selecting a small enough number to fit on a template will inevitably leave many out. Wouldn't a list or category be better? Night Gyr 23:31, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well it's a listing of correspondents who already have Wiki articles, so a template works better. In general, templates are better than lists, because it means somebody reading about one, reaches the end of the article and is automatically presented with similar biographies, imho. - I agree, a list or category would work better. I was going to start adding various Vietnam war photographers to this template, but I suspect it'll get unwieldy soon.
Also, is Robert Capa technically a Vietnam War correspondent, given he died before it started? Although he did cover the earlier First Indochina War, it depends how you define Vietnam War. --duncan 22:32, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- My bad, nix Capa in that case. Anyways, I'd suggest once this gets too unwieldly, we start separating out photographers and journalists if possible, although often it's a grey area between them. Sherurcij (talk) (Terrorist Wikiproject) 23:36, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
