By default, 1P and 2P can only play one after another; in the Service Mode though, simultaneous gameplay can be enabled.

Arcade games have a special mode to change certain settings in, commonly referred to as Service Mode. This mode allows arcade owners to change specific settings for the game(Difficulty, amount of lives, bonus rates, blood color in some cases, value of coins inserted into the coin slots) and also keeps track of some data. In case of Viewpoint, the sofware settings for the game itself mention a 2-player mode that can be set to either Alternate or Simultaneous. Basically, you can compare it to the Options menu for an arcade game, only reachable by actually opening the system and changing some things inside. --Smoke 02:08, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
