Viding Township is a township located in Clay County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 124.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 92.6 km² (35.7 mi²). 92.6 km² (35.7 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 124 people, 47 households, and 36 families in the township. The population density is 1.3/km² (3.5/mi²). There are 49 housing units at an average density of 0.5/km² (1.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 97.58% White, 0.00% African American, 0.81% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.61% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 47 households, of which 40.4% have children under the age of 18 living at home, 70.2% are married couples living together, 2.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.4% are non-families. 21.3% of all households have only one person, and 8.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.64 and the average family size is 3.03.

In the township the population is spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 31.5% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 14.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 87.9 males. For every 100 females aged 18 and over there are 104.5 males.
