[edit] Meaning
Videojoiners is a term given to the process of joining or layering multiple video clips to create a new video. If you take the idea of photomontage like those by David Hockney, this involves multiple videos being layered or placed next to each other to create a larger video of a subject. Videojoiners can either be complete videos, (that is a completed square shaped video) or a partial video (which is cubist in style)
[edit] Origins
The origins of the term Videojoiner are uncertain. However a few artists have created videos which can be called Videojoiners.
Videojoiners has even been made into a piece of software which automatically turns any video image into a videojoiner.
