[edit] Character
The passive, yet strong-willed, eldest child of powerful business tycoon Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and his wife, socialite Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria is currently co-CEO of Newman Enterprises and married to Brad Carlton (Don Diamont).
Victoria has formerly been married to the now-deceased Ryan McNeil (Scott Reeves) and also to Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck). After losing Cole to Ashley Abbott (then played by Shari Shattuck) in 1998, Victoria discovered she was pregnant with his child, a daughter who eventually died of SIDS. She then rebounded into the arms of Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) (a storyline which caused a stir amongst Y&R fans). The two were engaged briefly, but eventually went their separate ways. Victoria has also had affairs with Brandon Collins (Paul Walker), Tony Viscardi (Nick Scotti), Diego Guittierez (Greg Vaughan) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).
When family problems became too much for Victoria to handle, in late 2003, she left town to start a new life in Europe. In March 2005, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) tracked her down in Florence, Italy and asked her to take a job at Jabot Cosmetics. She declined, but returned to Genoa City out of curiousity. After her brother Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) made it clear to her that he didn't want her back at the family company (of which he was CEO), she decided to go back to Italy, but opted to stay and support her family when Nick and Sharon's (Sharon Case) daughter Cassie (Camryn Grimes) was killed in a car accident. Nick eventually asked her to help him run Newman Enterprises as co-CEO.
Victoria is now happily married to Brad Carlton, who has recently been reunited with his estranged mother, Rebecca (Lorna Raver). Victoria has also just discovered that she is pregnant with his baby.
