[edit] Neandir

Ganger's background in the Society for Creative Anachronism goes back to the early seventies, when she assumed the name Neandir of the Flame. She was a founding member of the Cleveland, OH chapter, which became known as the Barony of the Cleftlands.[5] She is a recipient of the Baronial award called The March Hare,[6] and was awarded the title of Royal Bard to the Middle Kingdom on more than one occasion in the 70s & 80s by winning the Bardic Competition at the Pennsic War. She received her Award of Arms in 1980.[7] In 1981 (under her SCA name Neandir) she performed on and produced the first album by and for SCA members called Neandir: Lady of the Flame,[8] making her SCA's first recording artist. It featured 16 original songs performed in studio by SCA members - vocals: Victoria Ganger (Neandir), Ian Corrigan (Gabriel) & Mike Ingalls (Zoltan), guitar: Victoria Ganger & Ian Corrigan, penny whistle: Ian Corrigan, and cello: Mike Ingalls, and engineered by Jeff Rosenbaum (Shalom Ben-Or) and Bruce Florist (Oscar the Rat-Catcher). In 1983 she received the Order of the Willow for proficiency in the Arts.[9]

[edit] Revelry

"Victoria Ganger & Revelry" is an eclectic acoustic group consisting primarily of three women, all members of the Chameleon Club and ACE organizers.[10] This trio features Victoria Ganger’s multi-genre originals backed by the vocal harmonies of Lisa Lefkort and Mary Alice Tummonds. Instrumentation includes guitar, drum and occasional Appalachian dulcimer by Ganger, flute by Lefkort, and incidental percussion by both Lefkort and Tummonds[8]. They play primarily in the Northeast Ohio area at musical events such as Rootstock at Cain Park, Cleveland Hts., OH,[11], SubGenius events, and at ACE events[9] and other functions in the Neo-Pagan and other communities.
