Victoria Azarenka (Belarusian: Вікторыя Азарэнка, Азаранка, Russian: Виктория Азаренко; born July 31, 1989) is a tennis player from Minsk, Belarus, who became junior world champion in 2005. Currently she lives and trains in Marbella, Spain. On April, 2007 she reached a career high of No. 65

Azarenka finished 2005 as ITF Junior Girls World Champion, becoming the first Belarus player to be named Junior World Champion. She won two junior Grand Slam singles titles, the Australian Open and US Open, and three junior Grand Slam doubles titles. Azarenka had a 50-3 overall win-loss record in singles and doubles in 2005. Roland Garros 2006: Azarenka lost against Anabel Medina Garrigues in Round 1 (0-6, 6-3, 9-7). In the 2006 US Open, Azarenka upset 11th seed Anastasia Myskina 6-4, 6-2 in the 1st round. She lost in the 3rd round to Anna Chakvetadze. She currently plays doubles with Max Mirnyi, a fellow Belarusian, who is a top-notched final-playing player as well as women's singles in a seeded position. (As of the US Open 2006).
