Don Anthony Stracci is a fictional character appearing in the film The Godfather. In Mario Puzo's novel on which the film is based he is referred to as Anthony "Black Tony" Stracci because even in old age he slicks black grease in his hair.
The most senior of all the Dons of New York's Five Families, Stracci nevertheless embraced the scheme of Don Emilio Barzini to unite against the Corleone family and force them into the heroin trade. He was present at the sitdown where the "Commission" of La Cosa Nostra families convinced Don Vito Corleone to accept drug trafficking in his territory and guarantee peace. On the day of Michael Corleone's revenge, Stracci was assassinated personally by Corleone family caporegime Peter Clemenza; as the Don and his associates took an elevator ride in a hotel, he was there with a shotgun when the doors opened.
In the Godfather game the protagonist kills Don Stracci in the elevator at the St Albans Hotel the same way Clemenza did.
