Vicente Feola

Vicente Ítalo Feola, usually known as Vicente Feola (born on November 20, 1909 in São Paulo, died on November 20, 1975 in São Paulo), was an Italian Brazilian soccer coach who lived in São Paulo. He became famous for leading the national soccer team to its first world championship in 1958, in Sweden. He was also the coach of the Brazil soccer team in the 1966 FIFA World Cup. As the São Paulo FC coach, he won the 1948 and 1949 Campeonato Paulista. Brazil, under his command, played 74 times, having won 55 games, tied 13 and lost 6 times. He died in 1975 aged 66.
