The play equipment had cost £13,000 to install just one month ago. The Parish Council are currently considering whether to replace it. Chester Bus have changed the service in Vicars Cross and now there is only one route which goes one way around Queens Road. This means local people, particularly elderly ones, cannot get to the local shops in Green Lane and back home again. At its November 2006 meeting, Gt Boughton Parish Council has agreed to make a contribution of £11,000 towards the cost of a Police Community Support Officer. The person appointed will start in April 2007 and will tackle anti-social behaviour, vandalism and minor crimes in Vicars Cross and Boughton Heath. in april 2007 there are plans to build a 60 foot statue in honour of local comic Russ Abbott and on 14 august in vicars cross it is the annual nick thomas day (what a great guy he is,just sit there and think for a minute what a bad place the world would be with out him). There will be a 100 foot statue of the local legend which will be in the porno pose he loves so much. |
