Vic Ruggiero

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Victor "Vic" Ruggiero is a musician and songwriter from New York City and has played in many ska bands such as The Slackers, Stubborn All-Stars, SKAndalous All-Stars and The Silencers (not to be confused with the Scottish rock band The Silencers), as well as with punk rock band Rancid both live and in the studio. He has also released two solo acoustic albums, and accompanied acoustic ska musician and singer Chris Murray.

He is primarily an organist, although he also plays guitar, harmonica and percussion.

Vic, Victor, The Ruggeroo- a self taught musician since he was just a baby boy of three years or so. He walked into his parents garage and just started to play the piano one sunny afternoon. His father was a police officer, his mother suffered from multiple sclerosis, and he was a serious chubster throughout his younger years. From his high school sweetheart Sarah to his most true love of all Christina Qualianna, Vic uses love or his poor ability to do so as inspiration for song after song. He coulda been Kerouac, or Dylan, maybe even Sidhartha but in this life he's just a bum who drinks too much and enjoys missing a shower or two...or three...etc.
