Vic Flowers

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vic Flowers born April 16th 1952 is the acting leader of the Barmy Army, a group of English cricket supporters noted for passionately following the English cricket team around the world. Flowers is from Oldham and is nicknamed Jimmy Savile because of his resemblance to the disc jockey of the same name. Flowers is noted for his crazy outfits, as well as leading the Barmy Army chants. His antics have brought his attention to the England team itself, and when the team that had won the 2005 Ashes toured London in an open-topped bus to a celebration in Trafalgar Square, Flowers was invited up in the Square to lead the chants.
