[edit] Tim photo
Hi Victoria!
I've uploaded a new image for Tim (from Keane). I Tim does look best on this new photo. I think you know is from Q Magazine. Hope you like it. I'll also move the photos of Tim, Tom and Richard to the SOWK article. I saw your post on the discussion and after thinking about it it seems a good idea. However, i still think the article doesn't qualifies for the featuring. I'll try to work on it harder :) Fluence 23:42, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi there ;)
I posted the article yesterday as you may have noticed: Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Somewhere Only We Know. Is not recieving many good comments :(. Also soon I'll post the main Keane article there. A few moments ago I made some changes on the page and I think it's ready for there. Oh, and about the tim's article feedback, i think wikipedia was discovered by Keane fans from the forum. With a little help from me... [1] :)Fluence 00:56, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks :D
Thanks for supporting my featuring for SOWK. Oh and about 14 hours ago I posted the Keane article on the featuring page. Hope this one makes it :D See ya!! Fluence 16:17, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Keane to FA
Thanks for supporting me with SOWK. I don't know what happens with the articles archived there but I hope there's still chance. Now, I give you the link for the Keane's featuring request: Wikipedia:Featured_article_candidates/Keane and for UTIS' request for GA: Talk:Under the Iron Sea. Hope you can help me with these ones. And it's cool you have liked the album! :D Fluence 23:02, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome!
Hi, and welcome to the Biography WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of biographies.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Starting some new articles? Our article structure tips outlines some things to include.
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every biography article in Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! plange 15:32, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks again!!
Thank you very much again!! :D Many fans actually know the Wikipedia (I've only saw Chris Flynn, Fanny Chaplin and Flying Nelly from the forum had actually edited here) but they don't really like it and they see it as a piece of junk, which is really a pity but reuniting fans is a great idea!!!:D
[edit] Hello.
Hii... Good to hear from you again. I am back in India now and my college started. So, I cant spend time on Wikipedia like I used to. Right now my band is doing nothing, waiting for a break from the hectic schedule of college. Yeah, I love keane! I'll comment on the article as soon as I can. Take Care then. Cheers! [edit] Maybe I'll need help
Painbearer has been reverting many of the changes many people (included me) have made to the Keane article. He says is too much redundant information and that is not useful. However, many of the information he has deleted was important for the band. I'm not considering it as vandalism as he did that in good faith. The thing is now he accuses me of deleting other people's work (about 2 sentences of four different people) when he deleted most of our work from the two past months. So, it would be nice if you can help me reverting these changes Thanks again for supporting me with the FAs. Keane was removed but I'll try in the future again :DFluence 22:35, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your support. I think that guy also has been destroying Coldplay's page. Maybe the guy needs to learn how important is Keane.
This is what we can do:
He warned me of blocking me from editing on the Wikipedia if I continue and la la la...
I've reverted 4 times by now his edits and retired a protection warning (indicating the page was protected, which actually wasn't) and removed some of my edits as they looked even illogical for me. If someone blocks me from editing, there's where you can act. I'm trying to look for help on the official forum but most of they think as wikipedia as a trashcan :( And, about Tom's problem with drugs, many have taken rid(of the article you created for Tom) to vandalise it. I protected the page yesterday to prevent future vandalism but the better for tom is to keep checking. Thanks :DFluence 20:33, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re
OK, seems that idiot has stopped reverting the Keane article, at least he's on vacations... I saw the message last Friday but, well my English is not perfect, so I didn't understand the real meaning of the word but now... I've warned that guy of stop offending you and Tom. I asked for help to John254 who helped me before on Keane's article vandalism and asked him to expell The Mekon from the Wikipedia. I think he has commited vandalism before and being blocked but this is enough. I've reverted vandalism from the Tom's talk page. However, I cannot delete the signed comments. I'm waiting for instructions of what to do. Don't worry :)Fluence 18:25, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- You can also express your opinion about that guy reverting the article here: [2]Fluence 18:52, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, no. That stuff should all go here. The AMA requests for assistance page is only for assistance requests. Cheers! User:Pedant 22:31, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Archives
Hi Victoria!
Thanks for the message - I hope you don't mind I've just gone ahead and done your first archive for you for simplicity's sake! It's very simple really - all you have to do is type User talk:Victoria Eleanor/Archive X into the search bar, and then create the page as directed (obviously replacing "X" with whatever number it is. Then just copy/paste content from this page into your archive page, and hey presto you have an archive!
I have also taken the liberty of creating an archive box for you (I've been intending on doing it on my page for months but have been to lazy - you message has spurred me into doing it now!). Basically, whenever you create an archive, just update User talk:Victoria Eleanor/archivebox with the new link, and add the template link {{User talk:Victoria Eleanor/archivebox}} at the top of any page you so wish.
Hope this is of help to you - let me know if you want any further explanations!

[edit] Seems we're in war now
OK, this is getting out of control again Victoria. Now, Richyard is reverting along with Painbearer (who is reverting less than before) the Keane article not only deleting important and new information but deleting references and destroying format. On the information deleted was a message from me thanking Chris Flynn (I guess you now who he is but if you don't know, he is the creator of Keaneshaped and one of the top Keane fans around) of letting me get information from his website (as you can see him asking for credit here: Talk:Keane. I posted a message above that refering that if that message was deleted it was going to be considerated as a copyright violation. I don't know Richyard is guessing that but it's worse than Painbearer. He is also accusing me of personal attacks when that idiot The Mekon has even vandalised the Keane page. If I get blocked, I'll be asking you for help with an IP but for some reason you'll know is me ;)
And, I don't know but "Richyard" sounds like derived from "Richard"...Hughes? Hope really not. Don't think so. I've warned the forum but it's unlikely they will help :( And thanks again. (Sorry I like to thank people ;)) Fluence 23:15, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Please see your talk page Fluence Richyard 10:59, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- We have Flying Nelly on our side, well, at least she's not deleting info but correcting it. However Richyard and Painbearer keep on reverting. But well :D--Fluence 15:28, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Update... I don't understand Flying Nelly. I first thought she was making a good article but now she's contributing with Richyard and Painbearer to destroy and delete information from the article. Since English is not my native, maybe I missed something she said on the Keane Talk Page. I reverted for the last time the article. I suggested on the talk page to create an article called "Keane trivia" where all "irrelevant" or "not important" would be stored. The article will be shorter but at least the reverts will stop. What do you think Victoria? Should I or shouldn't? :D--Fluence 00:59, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Vinescraig.jpg)
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Vinescraig.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] Help... please help!
Hello Victoria... I really do need help now. Some guys (Painbearer, specially Richyard and that The Mekon idiot) have started deleting Keane articles (Rare songs by Keane, Keane trivia, Keane's controversies and now proposed for deletion List of songs by Keane, A Heart To Hold You, Hopes and Fears Tour, Under the Iron Sea Tour (this was new), Hopes and Fears DVD and Under the Iron Sea DVD) and I hope you can help me expressing your opinion about this on the articles entries. I know some of them really needed to be deleted but some others like AHTHY certainly not. Have a good day :)--Fluence 23:37, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging

[edit] Where are you??
It's been a month since your last edit on September 10 so I'm just wondering if you're still here. Just that..--Fluence 21:49, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Nice seeing you're there!
Sorry for that ;) It's just you only kind of dissapeared but it's fine. Sometimes it also happens to me :)
As you may have seen, the edit war continued "active" throughout September and half October. Users came and gone. FlyngNelly, U2QueenBee and D-r-i-n-k-y who are also Keane fans, appeared and started editing for good Painbearer's changes but, somehow, they soon, Nelly changed her mind and continued to what Painbearer was doing. Then, Richyard as I told you appeared. Soon was followed by The Mekon and Dreaded Walrus. After long discussions between Painbearer and advocate Pedant, we became to an agree to discuss changes to the Keane article on its Talk page since that's what is for. However, Painbearer just wanted to crop the article (which presented an accurate and even brilliant prose and grammar) labelling himself as an exclusionist (people looking for "useful" information). Mr. Scare was someone showing firstly neutral and he edited the article on grammar to make it better. After adding a sentence which was hidden, he answered with this on the Talk Page (read especially the bold sentence):
“ | I don't recall "reaching a concensus". I did my best to make this article make sense but you've continued to try to drag it back to the miserable state it used to be in. Endlessly reverting and comparing the utterly insignificant Keane to the greatest band ever just serves to make you look like an idiot. The Beatles were bigger than Jesus, Tom Chaplin just has a bigger FACE. Shut up, Fluence. Mr. Scare 16:17, 13 October 2006 (UTC) | ” |
Removing that as vandalism I really think this dude deserves a punishment. One thing is to offend me or my article version and another very different is to offend Tom.
Anyway, the thing is currently Pedant is kind of fed up with the battle and he has warned us to stop attacking ourselves. I really hope this can be solved soon. For the time being, take a look at the current article version ;)--Fluence 21:12, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
-
- UPDATE:
- PAINBEARER WROTE:
“ | Call me uncivilized if you want. It is a conscious choice for me to preserve my personal dignity and not get involved anymore into this issue. I don't want to speak with Fluence ever and I don't want to work on Keane anymore. Simply because I don't see any kind of meaning in this. I cannot collaborate with User Fluence. I don't want to work with him anymore so I am backing off. | ” |
I thought he wasn't going to give up didn't he? Well, so the article is finally peaceful now :) and, well we gotta do something about that Mr. Scare guy...Fluence 22:52, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

- Thanks a lot for the comments! Glad to know you liked it!! I am gonna post the lyrics over here just like you said. :-P.. My college is going along just fine. [edit] Out of Focus
Polluted skies, they choke our minds/ Neon lights, hide dirty streets/ Synthetic smiles, meet vacant eyes/ T.V. speaks, a pack of lies
I only watch/ I don't care at all/ I only watch/ for something to focus on
Weekends come, and pass us by/ Only discount sales, mark the dates/ Boredom strikes, on idle minds/ There's no where else, this is all there is/
My mind's on fire/ I cant think at all/ My mind's on fire/ There's nothing to focus on
My mind's on fire/ Cant think at all/ My mind's on fire/ Theres nothing to focus on
My minds on fire/
My minds on fire/ I have no desire X4

[edit] Image:Nicholls.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Nicholls.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Sherool (talk) 08:51, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- The image also doesn't have source information, asuming the image is "irreplacable" it will still need the source info to be kept. --Sherool (talk) 08:51, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- Additionaly Image:Normal TroubleUK omfg.jpg also seems replacable and Image:250206sun.jpg doesn't have any source information. Thanks, and sorry for the "pile on". --Sherool (talk) 09:03, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Actualy no I didn't upload that. Turns out that image has been on Commons since June. However since if had the same filename as "your" local fair use image it could not be used. Once your image was deleted the file from Commons took over. Bit of a lucky accident, sometimes things just work out I guess ;) --Sherool (talk) 19:34, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hi!
Hello there! Nice to hear from you again. Yeah, The Mekon has kept on bothering a bit but is "under control". I'm listening now to more bands like Muse that I haven't heard before so I'll look forward to The Vines but yeah I've heard of them. Take care and luck ;)--Fluence 00:32, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Help for Victoria!
I suppose it reads this with the correct spelling: '80 CTS CORREO AEREO MEXICO'
This means the price of 80 cents (about 0.03 pounds), "air mail, Mexico"
'Valleres De Impresión De Estampillas Y Valores-México'
I don't exactly know the meaning of "valleres" but I think that's the place where the stamps are printed, it literally would read "printing workshops of stamps and values-Mexico". I hope I shine a little light on that matter ;)--Fluence 00:28, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
PS: and is not Mexican, is Spanish! "Mexican" names the Nahuatl language spoken before the 16th century in Tenochtitlan. You can see the Keane article in Nahuatl here: [3]! ;)
- you're very welcome! when you wish to know anything else about mexico (or even about keane) don't doubt of calling me! :)--Fluence 01:41, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Australia!
I really like australia. i used to have an obsession with Australia a few years ago until I changed it for england, hehe. Well, yeah I used to play basketball in school last year but now I'm focusing more in my "piano skills". I've lost some practica on basket but well i think i can get better ;)
And about the place i live, I can tell you. hehe. I live in a municipality called "Chalco" (or "Xalco") in the State of Mexico. It comes from the nahuatl Xalco which means "a place near water". In ancient times it bordered the Xalco lake and was a bit far from Mexihco Tenochtitlan. It was conquered in 1510. Time changes things so when Mexico City started to grow in 1940, the nearest places like Naucalpan became part of the city!. It was until 1980 that chalco was considered within or specifically "metropolitan area". So, i live near mexico city!. It's a nice place though is two hours far from Mexico, where my school is! Daily, it can be hard but me and my mom have survived. Now, you can tell me more ;)--Fluence 01:12, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
P.S. I forgot to say it on my last message. I really love Starlight! It's currently on the top 7 radio singles in mexico. keane though is doing best in fourth with nimw! :)--Fluence 01:12, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm sorry about your parents. It wasn't that long ago for your dad as my grandma (she died 1998). But I got impressed about victoria being your mother's name. I mean, rarely, your username is your real name but i didn't know she existed. she'd be proud of you i don't doubt it. is a nice action :)
Oh and about the place, not all people know that. I've read somewhere that and my grandpa has told me and you know, I've just mixed it all to get a real fact ;). And once you said it, you're right. I don't know any other band or artist from australia apart from kylie and midnight oil i think. still, i prefer english! see you soon (b-side from the blue room ep, coldplay, hehe) :)--Fluence 23:40, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- Oh god, i didn't know that (obviously hehe). It happens the same with me, well, somehow, excepting I don't suffer from that as far as I know.
It happens it's difficult for me to start, for example, a conversation, or talking to someone, until someone talks to me. It's funny you know. Unlike almost all teenagers I know, I don't spend time out hanging with people or going to parties, so I prefer to stay at home with the lap or listening music. that's my userbox refering actually to. Maybe I don't have a lot of friends but I have good friends, like my friend himself says. I think internet is an excelent media to meet people. If you get mad with someone, you just simply close the window! Well, I don't know if I will be here tomorrow but for now, I want to wish a merry christmas, and a happy 2007! :)--Fluence 20:26, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

hi Victoria - thanks for the message and Happy New Year to you too. Sorry for the lateness of this reply - I've been in India for the last 3 weeks so haven't been online for a while. I must say my CD Collection is one of my proudest possessions - it's so nice to be able to physically see and touch all your music and know that it'll always be there even if your hard drive gets wiped! And considering how cheap you can buy CDs online these days, I really don't see any excuse for copying and piracy in general. ah well - the world goes on!

[edit] Hi there
Great you're back! I was thinking the last week on talking you but now you're back, it's easier. Well, I've been listening to new Britain music (new for me). Suddenly, my user page includes Snow Patrol, Franz Ferdinand and Muse, who are my top 2 under Keane. Also The Killers, though they're American. Last week knew about The Zutons and The Streets but I've been looking forward to The Vines and Kasabian but I haven't heard anything from them on the radio. Someone you like but I don't are Arctic Monkeys, I don't know why but maybe it's just their style. Curious. But well, Absolution has became my top 2 album, after Hopes and Fears. I just love Muse's lyrics, they are perfect for me!--Fluence 16:22, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- I love all songs from Absolution, almost all from BHAR, i can't get used yet to Hoodoo hehe. And wow, on Saturday, i found a Hullabaloo Soundtrack in my local music store. it costed around $343 or £17 but it worths!
I actually saw a Vines' album a few months ago in the same store. Good store actually. And good idea on Youtube. Is there another band you'd like to recommend me?--Fluence 20:16, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
