[edit] Cronulla Line Stations
Thank you so much for offering to take the photos... they will be great! ... I was probably a bit harsh moving the pic, but it was originally a shot of the shops, not the station entrance, so it didn't really fit in the infobox. But thanks anyway for resolving that issue. (JROBBO 12:47, 2 October 2006 (UTC))
- Just a followup comment - I read your userpage and you say that you enjoy cycling in the RNP... if you ever get a chance to take a picture of the old railway station (now tram stop) that would be a great addition to the Illawarra Line article for Wikipedia... if and whenever you have time though. Thanks anyway. (JROBBO 12:51, 2 October 2006 (UTC))
- Can you get a better picture of Caringbah railway station? It looks like it was taken from a moving train that didn't stop there... The colours on the camera are pretty bad too - I'm not blaming you, but WP does have pretty high standards for photographic inclusions which would give some people good reason to have them deleted. A photo of the quality more like your Cronulla shots would be more appropriate for Wikipedia. Have a look at Train stations in Sydney for the sort of photos that Wikipedia has for its railway stations here. (JROBBO 13:08, 3 October 2006 (UTC))
Thanks for your support on keeping the Sutherland- Cronulla railway line page. Also, do you know if the tramway that preceeded the railway travelled down the current rail alignment? I thought it travelled down the Kingsway but am not certain. Quaidy 10:54, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hillsbus
I notice you made some changes to the Hillsbus section of the ComfortDelGro Cabcharge page. Any ideas on whether Hillsbus is a separate company to Westbus or just a brand..? The Hillsbus webpages offer little insight. Also, the 600 series bus routes and 700 series bus routes pages don't differentiate between Westbus and Hillsbus. Do you think they should? And if so, which is which? Joestella 05:50, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Notability
Hi Vicer, thank you for your message! I believe that this is the edit to which you are referring. A small group of editors, including myself, monitor all the Wikicalendar pages and have to make lots of reversions every day, mainly because people add their own birthdays to the pages. For events sections, to keep their lengths down and to prevent them from becoming random collections of current events, we drafted this set of guidelines. It's by no means perfect and is totally open to anyone's suggestions, including yours. For the event you added about Shane Warne, I think the best place for that would be 2006 in sports. When I remove sports events from the Wikicalendar, I try to link to that page (or a similar list; there is also a 2006 in music list), and I apologize for neglecting to do so this time. I feel that the event you added about Shane is notable for many people, like sports fans, but they constitute a limited audience, and that the event is relevant currently but won't be enduringly historical. If you disagree and wish to reinstate the event, go ahead and do so, and I won't revert it because I try my best to follow the one revert rule, but be aware that other editors may also revert that event. Hope that answers your question. Fabricationary 05:22, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cronulla Line
Hi Vicer - I've read on the page on the Cronulla Line about the tramway closing down due to the Depression and financial mismanagement. Do you have a source for that? I've got some sources here which seem to indicate that the tramway land was taken over by the Government to build the railway, and that representations were made as early as 1924 for the tramline to be used by heavy rail services. I'm rewriting the main Illawarra and Eastern Suburbs Line page and hopefully the Cronulla page as a sub-page, and I'm very tempted to change it unless you have a good source on the tramway. - Thanks - that's a great source. I'll use it for the articles I'm working on. Thank you very much. JROBBO 02:57, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Loftus Station Pic
Hi Vicer - thanks for the offer about the picture. It's not Loftus station I'm actually after - it's a picture of the old Royal National Park station which is at Audley inside the National Park, about a kilometre or so inside the park near Loftus station - there's a map from Google here. Your page says you like cycling in the RNP, so maybe you can go there at some stage - you just take Farnell Ave left off the Princes Hwy just south of Loftus Station, and before you get to the bends and Audley Weir it's on your left. [edit] Image:Miranda_Railway_Station.JPG
That's a very nice picture, I dunno why I didn't think of that :) - Vicer 13:12, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks mate. I'm in the process of loading some Caringbah and Woolooware photos that I took over the weekend. J Bar 04:08, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

- Ah nice, I'm guessing you live around the Shire? Funny as it is, I live like right down the road from Woolooware Station and I don't take enough pictures. Anyway, looking forward to seeing those pictures. - Vicer 05:45, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

- I actually live in the St George area but I'm a regular visitor to the shire, Miranda for the shops and Cronulla for the beaches and cafes. I've made some extensive contributions to Arncliffe, Rockdale, Kogarah, Hurstville that you might be interested in.
