In the fictional Robotech anime series the VFH-10 AGAC Veritech Fighter/Helicopter is a mecha used by the Tactical Armored Space Corps, after TASC's existing VF-8 Logan light Veritech Fighter proves to be utterly useless against the sophisticated and heavily-armed Bioroid mecha of the Robotech Masters. The design of the Auroran is large and heavily-armed enough to do battle with the Masters on their terms. It first flew in 2029, with first combat deployment in 2030 and IOC in 2031, during the Second Robotech War.

At high altitude, the Auroran uses its fighter configuration, converting to attack helicopter mode near the ground to replace Guardian configuration. The helicopter configuration features contra-rotating rotors, eliminating the need for a tail rotor. For space and ground combat, Battloid configuration is generally used, as it offers the greatest maneuverability of the three modes, eclipsing even helicopter mode. In space combat, the mecha is operated in Fighter mode.
