Veteran is the third solo album by Marques Houston, released March 20, 2007. Houston describes the album as "a reflection of who I am as an artist and as a man. There's a lot that I've been through as far as relationships and just experiencing life. I'm only 25 but I’m veteran because I've been in the industry since I was 8 and I've watched the changes."

Guest appearances on the album include Mýa, Shawnna and Yung Joc. There is production from The Underdogs, Bryan Michael Cox,Rufus Black and Stereotypes among others. Two singles have been released from the album, "Like This" (featuring Yung Joc) and the ballad "Favorite Girl". The album release date was pushed back to give Houston time to cope with the death of his grandmother. Houston had a hand in writing all of the songs on the albums except for "Wonderful", written by Ne-Yo and produced by Stereotypes. Ne-Yo and Houston also worked together on Houston's debut solo album That Girl in 2002.

The album as of March 28th has entered the US Billboard 200 at #5, his highest chart position, selling over 65,000 units in its first week.
