Gwythr can hardly have been derived from *weteros, because in that position t would have gone to d; and why should the second e be syncopated? In Welsh, *weteros would have become something like *gweder; for Gwythr we're looking for something more like *wixtros. QuartierLatin1968 El bien mas preciado es la libertad 17:21, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
