I can't remember where, but I think I've read somewhere that European Vespula species introduced to Australia and/or New Zealand are sometimes able to produce workers all year round (due to the mild climate, presumably), and that because of this the nests reach huge sizes. I've heard this to be true in Florida as well. Anyone with personal experience?Pollinator 01:09, 24 Oct 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Is there a difference between Vespula and Paravespula?

I've seen both the species vulgaris and germanica with each of the genus names. Has the genus been renamed or are there four different species?

[edit] Wasp, Vespid

are there differencies ? interwikis are not correct if they are different... --130.83.244.131 10:08, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC) fr:Utilisateur:Moala

[edit] Redirect pages

Vespid should preferably redirect to Vespidae and not the other way round. All the other families follow this convention. Shyamal 09:51, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
