This article is obviously the top priority of WikiProject Kentucky. Its last peer review rated it a B-class article. Significant improvements have been made, but several things still need to happen to bring it to A-class, including notably:

• Finding references for all statements tagged with {{fact}}
• Standardizing all references using {{cite web}}
• Expanding the history section with information from Governor Goebel's assassination to the present

This is a admirable viewpoint in our day and time. We are aware as a people that "disabled" is not a signpost of insignificant. Many Americans with disabilities have excelled in their field of expertise. I grew up hearing about FDR and never, never did I hear the man was disabled (polio). It wasn't until much later through expose type articles I found out about his muscular degeneration. Many are and were in the same boat I was in. This may seem a trivial matter but in essence it changes the truth of our history. There is too much of this occurring in our nation. Stick to history fact and not history fiction. (edit comment)

There is an issue with the Fairness of tone. The tone of the article is slanted against ED. Biased towards negative political history, the article provides no information regarding the actual functions of ED, and does not substantiate statements such as, "the federal government and Department of Education are not heavily involved in determining curriculum or educational standards." -Freechild 12:46, 12 January 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)

Any article which addresses the origins of the Revolutionary War, the formulation of the Articles of Confederation, or the Constitution as ultimately written, should include information on the manner in which the issue of slavery was handled. Cd195 17:44, 11 March 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)

• I dealt with some of this. The whole article needs more basic copy editing. The info that I orginally put into the article on the breed's origin (and cited a reference) now doesn't generally match what's there, but no new reference was added.
