Alexander Chavchavadze [291] Low February 24, 2007 B #Alexander Chavchavadze - rated as A, very clear, encyclopaedic, great use of reliable sources and references, very accurate based on historical documents, primary and secondary sources. Ldingley 17:30, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
  1. I rated it B -- see if you can expand the lead per WP:LEAD. After that, I'd submit it to our Peer review process for a more extensive review so that you can go for GA or A... --plange 23:56, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
  1. I believe that this is an A + work. However, Kober, you might want to check out what's wrong with that WP:LEAD. Sosomk 16:33, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
  1. I give it an A. Excellent work on this article, guys. -- Clevelander 20:47, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Put it back to B -- not meant as a disparagement -you guys have worked very hard and it shows!! Keep up the good work. Assigning A class is a big deal-- and you shouldn't assign them to your own work, but if you think it is A class (and therefore skipping GA nomination), then I recommend requesting a Peer review so that you can get some constructive feedback (and hopefully an A!) --plange 04:32, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm not going to fight you guys on this, but this is a template for WPBiography and used by WPBiography members to rate how we think it rates according to our criteria, not for non-members to take votes on and rate themselves. It might very well be an A (which means it is a possible FA), but can you please submit it for a Peer review by our project members so that Biography members can assess it? Thanks :-) --plange 22:13, 1 October 2006 (UTC) (edit comment)
Alexander Kronrod [292] Low December 23, 2006 B Great work in expanding this today. Just a few points:
The 'Later in his life' para should be moved near the end of the bio section, so that it reads chronologically.
If you have access to the sources, the various achievements and events details should be dated.
Some copy editing would help in avoiding short sentences such as 'He tested the medicine on himself' or 'Kronrod helped to solve the general recursive search scheme'
Three of the last five sentances in the bio section are unconnected and should be integrated into the rest of the text. + Ceoil 23:30, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

And you might comply with WP:MOSHEAD + Ceoil 23:34, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

The quote that Kronrod gave ideas "away left and right, quite honestly being convinced that the authorship belongs to the one who implements them" is intriguing and points towards an interesting personality. Could this be expaned on? + Ceoil 23:59, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Ceoil, thanks for the incredibly prompt assessment. Your comments above have been incorporated (pretty much done). -Susanlesch 04:29, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Your welcome, although the article has improved dramatically since I made my assessment, and I notice it has since been upgraded. Just one thing though, do you know when began to develope 'milil'? When did he suffere his first stroke? Anyway + Ceoil 19:04, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
  • From what little I have read, Landis and Yaglom offer no dates between 1968 and 1986. At this time I am limited to Internet resources but can try to find out at a library sometime. -Susanlesch 19:12, 23 December 2006 (UTC) (edit comment)
