George Armstrong Custer [15] November 7, 2006 B Can someone please edit the article to remove the references to Lil Romeo and Jay-Z?

I don't believe they featured in the biography of Custer or the goings-on at Little Big Horn.

They came in much later.

George Bernard Shaw [19] July 29, 2006 B Needs references plange 01:49, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

I have increased the number of references and linked them to full texts when such are available on-line. I am concerned about the spate of articles synopsizing individual plays: Nearly all of them include brief biographies of Shaw, which makes the repetitious. Should they be amended?

George Best [20] September 5, 2006 B
George Bradshaw [21] March 2, 2007 B I have to admit to finding Wiki's rating system way over my head. However I will say an article about Bradshaw is totally justified. I have edited one word (so far) and that is important. The first Bradshaw was the first compilation of railway timetables. There had been railway timetables before. It's obvious there were and various books show these like Train & Transport showing an 1835 Stockton & Darlington one. I have an 1838 Grand Junction one headed Time Table in Cornish's guide. Should anyone be able to input a more exact last date (exact day) for the last 1961 Bradshaw that would be helpful. Robertforsythe 14:24, 10 February 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)

George Eliot [31] February 17, 2007 B This is a good beginning to the Eliot page, but I believe that it could stand with some reorganization and additions.
  • The biography section should be split into subsections so that it is not so long (this is a wikepedia convention).
  • I would argue that the section on her works should be greatly expanded; perhaps even a subsection on each major novel or perhaps a subsection on each genre in which she wrote.
  • The article has an excellent list of sources but is not itself footnoted - please do so.
  • The lead should reflect the rest of the article; right now, it is oddly focused on her name.
  • Also, she should be referred to as "Eliot" throughout the article. I don't want to get into a big feminist debate, but seeing her referred to as Mary Ann, etc. rankled. I have a feeling the Dickens article does not refer to him as "Charles."

George Harris, 4th Baron Harris [40] March 2, 2007 B
George Harrison [41] November 26, 2006 B WPBeatles:
  • There is no official "References" section, and few, if any, in-line references, but the article is very well-rounded. It covers George's entire life: early life, life with the Beatles, and life by decades after that. It has a few pictures, mostly of him, but a few more wouldn't hurt. (Maybe some on the left side of the page?)--Gordon (2 April 2006)
  • Needs inline citations (probably shouldn't be an A without them, as it wouldn't get GA). --kingboyk 11:19, 14 August 2006 (UTC) (edit comment)

It has some sources but could be improved in that area. It is generally WP:MOS compliant, but the trivia section should probably be merged into the article body. I don't have the photo. I do not know what year it was, whether '45, '55 or some other year altogether so I cannot correct the caption. But I do know that it cannot be both and if ONE of them is correct, it is probably the former because the person at the piano looks like a kid, not a 23-year-old adult.Isolde3 03:10, 12 September 2006 (UTC) (edit comment)

Glenn T. Seaborg [160] August 23, 2006 B I recently submitted an edit to this article. It had said that Seaborg sneaked a tiny camera past Soviet guards to photograph Kennedy and Khrushchev signing the Limited Test Ban Treaty in 1963. In fact, the Treaty was signed in Moscow, but Kennedy was not present. The U.S. delegation was headed by Averill Harriman, who signed for the U.S. I edited the article to remove the Kennedy reference. (edit comment)

Guy Davenport [244] September 5, 2006 B I've reassessed this article and think it is still B class. However, it has several strengths and not much work should be needed to get it up to A class.

There is an excellent, comprehensive collection of references and sources but the article itself needs to be fleshed out a bit more. More headings and sub-headings are definitely needed and some of the information in list format needs to be expanded into paragraphs. This is glaringly obvious in the commentary section, where there is no summary or explanation of critics' views.

I recommend contributing editors divide the existing information into relevant sub headings and attempt to provide at least a brief summary for sections currently in list form, where appropriate. Gruffle Gaw 17:30, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

The B grade stands. The article doesn't even have an infobox or persondata. It needs serious work to come close to an A rating. It should pass GA before even being considered for an A. - Duribald 08:54, 24 March 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)

  • This looks borderline Start and B. Have you consulted the Steps for a B article? They suggest taking care of the missing citation and red links. And requesting Did you know... on the Main page.
I will post a request. I didn't think that Hagop Pasha would have Did you know... appeal, but I guess I am mistaken. Thx! --Free smyrnan 09:05, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Posted "Did you know" submission as well requests for articles for the red links. --Free smyrnan 13:15, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
  • A link to a verifiable English Internet source other than Wikipedia derivatives like Answers.com would be helpful for those of us who don't know the language.

Best wishes. -Susanlesch 07:46, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

I'll try to find some. --Free smyrnan 09:05, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Did Google search, found and added one citation. --Free smyrnan 13:15, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
For me it is a start article. It needs further expansion to be regerded as B-Class, despite the fact that it is well-referenced, and looks well-structured. Anyway, I wouldn't like to change unilaterally the rating. Let it be B, and let's hope to further improvement and to a successful GAC review. A [citation needed] I saw should be fixed.--Yannismarou 08:47, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
I put in the [citation needed] since I did not wish to immediately remove the paragraph and perhaps start an edit war about the Armenian genocide. Kazazian pasha was, by all accounts I could find, a successful Ottoman Pasha who enjoyed high favors by the palace, who lived and died before 1915 and left no descendants who could be affected by 1915. I intend to let it stand for now, and if no one comes forward with more facts, I intend to remove the paragraph since it seems not factual. --Free smyrnan 09:05, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Moved that sentence to the talk page for further deliberation, as it seems not relevant to the article. --Free smyrnan 13:15, 9 January 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)
Haile Gebrselassie [270] March 20, 2007 B One of the best distance runners and a gold medal Olympian certainly rates mid importance at least, and the article is a pretty good start. Needs some style fixes and a bunch more refs. Staxringold talkcontribs 23:36, 19 March 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)

Half Man Half Biscuit [282] March 20, 2007 B
Hall Caine [283] February 23, 2007 B The article seems well-researched with inline citations where necessary. Also, the pictures are helpful to viewers. The prose is not bad, but could use some improvement and finesse.

Some of my other suggestions would be to lengthen the lead section (see Wikipedia's info on lead sections and revise the prose to make the writing style more eloquent. Also, perhaps starting the article with a pronoun like "He" is not as suitable as just saying "Caine."

Because it has not been through GA review, I would rate this article as B-class. However, through making some improvements I would recommend you submit this for GA nomination. Overall, a good effort from the main editors and contributors of this article, and I hope you'll all continue to improve this article in the future. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to leave a note on my talk page. - Lulu288 22:28, 23 February 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)

Harriet Miers [327] January 12, 2007 B Hello. Article looks very nice. The prose for the most part has citations and sources. I rated the article B because it appears to meet the requirements. You might look at an FA or another article to see how a Notes or References section can be done without external links inline. Different editors have different preferences for citations (I use something like this). Best wishes. -Susanlesch 04:53, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Harry Redknapp [346] September 15, 2006 B I've rate this page a B because it is a good story, and given the current description of the rating system I will not give out negative ratings for fair pages. It doesn't mean that the page needs to be edited.

A picture and matching infobox is needed

The most of important part is referencing the page. There are plenty of sources available including the BBC and the Guardian, so it shouldn't be that hard. Nevertheless it is clear that it has been written by people who are knowlegable about the subject and therefore I have little doubt about the overall correctness of the page. I've marked three points which definitely need citation, however there are more things which need to be checked.

Since this is a football page, it is requires somebody to put the page on watch and protect it against vandalism. From what I can see it's still clean, but it is necessary in this case to maintain the quality, and prevent vandalism staying on the page for too long. He Yingqin [364] March 18, 2007 B This a good, informative article about He, but it's too dense and needs breaking up into sections and/or editing back. Heath Shuler [369] March 20, 2007 B This a good, solid article, but needs some citation on his political career - a reader would need some verified quotes. Also, it's not enough to say he's a 'moderate Democrat' - give examples of his stances on policies (with independent quotes) and leave the reader to decide for themselves. Heather Anderson [370] March 20, 2007 B Well-cited, concise article. Only criticism is there needs to be a photo of her. Edofedinburgh 22:04, 19 March 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)
Heather Angel (actor) [371] March 20, 2007 B Reasonably complete description of her acting career, but a little on the sparse side. Her career in Hollywood is a good place to expand - how did she end up there, for instance? The Gone with the Wind titbit could be incorporated into the main body of the article. Her early life could be expanded too. Otherwise, a nicely-done little piece. Edofedinburgh 22:11, 19 March 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)
Heather Armstrong [372] March 20, 2007 B Although the article has had a contested history, the article as it is now is reasonably clear and concise, with the information about the lawsuit being well-explained and backed up by independent links. As to the notability question, the links to the BBC's articles about her prove that she is a public figure. Just because you don't like someone's writing doesn't mean they shouldn't be included. A photo would help a lot, plus maybe a screengrab from the site. Edofedinburgh 00:32, 20 March 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)
Heather Headley [373] March 20, 2007 B Well-written and reasonably comprehensive, this a decent little article. Heather Mills [377] August 16, 2006 B
Heather Munroe-Blum [378] March 20, 2007 B This needs some tidying-up around the edges - there needs to be a picture of her, plus some more citation and referencing (especially about her period as Principal). Shouldn't what Bernard Shapiro did next be in his article, rather than this one? Overall pretty good, though - POV neutral, and fairly concise. Edofedinburgh 01:00, 21 March 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)
Heather O'Rourke [379] March 20, 2007 B Well-written article, but there needs to be citations and references to back up the statements made. Edofedinburgh 02:21, 21 March 2007 (UTC) (edit comment)
Heather Wilson [380] March 22, 2007 B The article is getting there, but needs some more citation (campaign ads and Janet Jackson controversy need work in particular).
