Version City Rockers is a loose collective of reggae musicians, based in New York and New Jersey, who perform on recordings for singer/producer Jeff "King Django" Baker's Version City and Stubborn Records labels. Although there is no fixed line-up, several musicians from bands on these labels (The Slackers, Skinnerbox, Stubborn All-Stars) appear under this name: "Agent" Jay Nugent, Victor Ruggiero, Victor Rice. They are the backing band on several 7-inch singles featuring King Django and Rocker T, and have also backed legendary Jamaican roots singers and instrumentalists on the 2002 release Darker Roots.
