Vernon Macklin

Vernon Macklin (born September 25, 1986) is currently a player on the Georgetown University men's basketball team, the Hoyas. At 6'9" and 225 pounds, Macklin is widely considered a five-star recruit at the power forward position. Rivals.com, in fact, ranks him as the 12th best overall player and the 3rd best power forward in the high school class of 2006. Macklin attended Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia and was named a McDonald's All-American. In addition, Macklin was one of only ten players selected for the 2006 USA Basketball Junior National Select Team, which participated in the Nike Hoop Summit.
