The Vermont Country Store, Inc. is a national catalogue, retail and e-commerce business in Vermont. The Vermont County Store was founded in 1946 in Weston, Vermont by Vrest and Ellen Orton, and remains in family ownership. Today, the company offers more than 5,600 items, including Vermont Cheddar, hair spools, Evening in Paris perfume, Lanz nightgowns, footed pajamas for men and women, games like Park and Shop, red union suits, the original Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, sock monkey sheets, the original Tangee lipstick, a manual Olivetti typewriter, Vermont-made fruitcake, pantstretchers, and a candy counter full of old-time candies.

The Vermont Country Store is now a catalogue, internet, and retail business based entirely in Vermont, with stores in Weston and Rockingham, company headquarters in Manchester, a distribution center in North Clarendon, and customer service center in Bennington, and serves more than a million customers annually.
