IMDb profile |
Verdens Undergang was a Danish silent film that was released in 1916. The story was written by Otto Rung and the film was directed by August Blom.
This was a science fiction film of an epic nature that depicted the end of the world due to the arrival of an errant comet, and the accompanying social unrest. This film was released just six years after the return of Halley's comet, and in the midst of World War I. So in a certain respect it capitalized on the audience's fears of that period.
