Artist/Maker Joseph Chinard (French, 1756–1813)
Description Madame de Verninac en Diane chasseresse (Mrs. de Verninac as Diana the Huntress). Mrs. de Verninac was the sister of French painter Eugène Delacroix. Marble, exhibited at the Salon of 1808 (plaster model exhibited at the Salon of 1800).
