Vendakkottai is a village in Pattukkottai Taluk, India.

The village has a subramanya temple, small pond, and lake. On the shore of it is famous ayyanar temple, which is considered a powerful god by the local populace. The occupation of villagers is farming. But many people work in many foreign nations. In the village peoples are slowly move towards nearby town to educate their children. Now subramanya temple is under construction, the kumbaabisheam takes place after 101 years(by saying ,no records).
