Vena Sera (2007) |
|
Vena Sera is the fourth studio album by Chevelle and was released on April 3, 2007 through Epic Records. Many of the tracks on this album were based off of material from unreleased songs the band had previously recorded.
The album's sound has been described by the band as being "more upbeat and positive than the last album" as they were "focusing on a clearer sound". The music also has a noticeably greater amount of depth.
The first single, "Well Enough Alone", was released to radio stations AddFebruary 13. On March 13, 2007, the album was leaked onto P2P file-sharing sites.
Before performing "The Fad" at a show on March 26th, Pete Loeffler stated that this song would likely be the second single off the album.

[edit] Etymology
Vena Sera has been translated and interpreted as meaning many different things. It is translated as "Vein Evening" or "Evening Vein" in Italian, and "In the vein" in Latin. However, Pete Loeffler has stated that the title means "Vein Liquid" and is representative as "the blood of the band and the work we put into the album".
